We are currently looking for a qualified Laser Table Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for effectively running the laser & burn tables to produce quality parts. Additionally, this position requires working within a team environment with other areas such as Engineering, Quality and other departments within Production.
Job Responsibilities
Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
Ensure that all equipment is set up, used and left in a safe and clean manner. Alert Maintenance of any anticipated repair needs.
Program, operate and maintain Laser, plasma, and oxy-fuel burn tables.
Ensure that parts are directed to the appropriate area.
Ensure proper labeling of all parts.
Effectively utilize all raw materials, especially steel plates.
Operate overhead crane and forklift.
Record production and inspection activities in computer-based business system/program.
Be aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques.
Fully support the Company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE program.
Comply with and participate in all company training
The willingness and physical ability to work on our equipment; climbing ladders, crawling under objects and lifting in excess of 70 pounds.
The ability to read measuring equipment such as tape measures, gauges, protractors, micrometers, ect.
The willingness to work from existing policies and procedures and the ability to build technical knowledge.
Resolve routine problems by identifying and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively
The ability to take ownership and show support for workplace initiatives.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience.
Prior CNC experience preferred.
Prior computer skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
The ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
The ability to read drawings.
Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.

Climbing on and off the burn tables
Bending over numerous times per day
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. at times
Pay: $22.00 to $26.00 hourly. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
