Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Design, fabricate, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges for manufacturing processes.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations and tolerances.

Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.

Perform precise measurements and inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and machinery to minimize downtime and optimize production.

Collaborate with engineers and production staff to identify tooling needs and develop solutions.

Maintain detailed records of tool design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities.

Sharpen, repair, and modify existing tools and dies to extend their lifespan and improve performance.

Recommended Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.

Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar precision machining role.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.

Skilled in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders).

Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties.

Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

- Experience with CNC programming and operation.

- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.

- Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tooling.

- Experience with advanced welding techniques for tool repair.

- Familiarity with quality control inspection methods and equipment.
