The Project Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field leadership and execution of construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards. The Superintendent partners closely with the Project Manager to drive successful project outcomes.Position Impact
This role is critical to project success, serving as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating field operations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to schedule, safety, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction Support
Assist with project scheduling, phasing, and site logistics
Support constructability reviews and scope development
Participate in subcontractor bidding, selection, and procurement
Field Operations & Execution
Lead and coordinate daily jobsite activities
Manage subcontractors and ensure work aligns with project plans
Implement and maintain project schedules
Monitor project costs and support budget adherence
Quality & Safety
Enforce safety policies and maintain a secure jobsite
Oversee quality control processes and manage punch lists
Ensure compliance with permits, inspections, and code requirements
Project Coordination
Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors and field teams
Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports
Ensure proper tracking of as-built drawings and field changes
Resolve field issues proactively and efficiently
Team Leadership & Development
Train, mentor, and support field engineers and assistant superintendents
Foster a collaborative and high-performing jobsite environment
Business Support
Assist with RFQ/RFP responses and project interviews as needed
Support business development efforts and future opportunitiesRequired Qualifications
Experience as a Superintendent in commercial, multi-family, and/or K–12 construction
Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and field operations
Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple tradesPreferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 Certification
CPR and First Aid Certification
Experience leading large or complex construction projectsKey Competencies
