Senior Software Engineer for Autonomous Systems Evaluation

What You'll Do:

Develop and prototype comparative strategies that effectively benchmark the performance of autonomous systems.

Design simulation evaluation methods to support informed decision-making throughout continuous release cycles.

Set precise requirements and metrics to confirm safe and comfortable operations of Autonomous Vehicles.

Examine driving behaviors to boost system performance and influence the evolution of the autonomy stack.

Coach team members and foster collaboration across teams to establish simulation confidence metrics for new launches.

Your Skills & Abilities:

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.

Over 8 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, robotics, or data analysis.

Proficient in SQL, Python, and C++ for analyzing large data sets.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.

Excellent communication skills, capable of navigating discussions from high-level concepts to intricate technical details.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge:

Experience in validating AI models, robotics, or the development of autonomous vehicles.

Familiarity with data engineering and ETL software (e.g., DBT, Airflow).

Experience in creating data visualizations using tools like Looker or Jupyter notebooks.

Proven expertise in systems engineering for safety-critical products with knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., Jama, DNG, DOORS).

Compensation: The compensation for this position ranges from $165,000 to $253,200, depending on the candidate's qualifications. Bonus potential is available based on company performance, job level, and individual results. Remote: This role provides the flexibility of remote work; however, candidates living within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford, or Mountain View are expected to report to the designated location at least three times a week.
