About the Role:

The Inventory Data Entry Specialist works under the Director of Inventory and is responsible for ensuring that all inventory orders from the Distribution Center are accurately received into the POS system for all JARS retail locations in a timely and compliant manner. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy across company systems, including Dutchie and METRC, while ensuring all transactions comply with Michigan state regulations.

This position also manages the company-wide inventory email, investigates invoice discrepancies, coordinates corrections across departments, and maintains accurate records of inventory reconciliation and adjustments.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large volumes of data across multiple systems. This individual must demonstrate strong communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills while maintaining strict adherence to compliance standards.

This role requires someone who can operate with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment where inventory costs, pricing, and operational priorities can change frequently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive and input incoming inventory for all retail locations into Dutchie POS in a timely manner

• Verify that invoices match manifests, product descriptions, and quantities; escalate discrepancies to management when corrective action is required

• Maintain active knowledge of incoming inventory shipments to the Distribution Center

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory data across Dutchie and METRC systems

• Monitor and manage the company-wide inventory email inbox, responding to requests and coordinating follow-ups as necessary

• Communicate with retail locations to verify inventory accuracy prior to receiving into Dutchie and METRC

• Coordinate invoice discrepancies and reconciliation with the Purchasing Department and Accounts Payable team

• Investigate inventory discrepancies, errors, and deficiencies; ensure proper reconciliation, documentation, and resolution

• Finalize inventory transactions and sales transfers in METRC after confirming accuracy in Dutchie

• Assist in maintaining company inventory in compliance with Michigan state cannabis regulations and internal company policies

• Support implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures and quality control standards

• Oversee intake, inspection, documentation, and proper storage verification of incoming inventory and related invoices

• Ensure data integrity across inventory platforms and identify opportunities to improve operational processes

• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must be willing to submit to a background check

• 2+ years of inventory, logistics, or data entry experience, preferably in the cannabis industry

• Experience working with Dutchie and METRC

• Strong experience with data entry, reconciliation, and record keeping

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory data

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to correspond in a professional and businesslike manner

• Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve problems efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments

• Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate

Work Atmosphere / Physical Demands:

• Work will generally be performed in a fast-paced office and distribution center environment

• Requires prolonged sitting and/or standing with frequent use of a computer and keyboard

• Involves regular communication with retail locations, vendors, and internal departments

• Will require working varied hours/day, including overtime as business needs dictate
