Parexel is looking for an enthusiastic Real-World Data Engineer Specialist.

Your work will involve interacting with various data sources, including healthcare claims, EMR, and registry databases, ensuring high accuracy and usability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical specifications, and develop robust data pipelines to help statistical programmers, analysts, and data scientists thrive in their work.
Your Exciting Responsibilities Will Include:
Designing, developing, and delivering effective RWD solutions across various databases.
Managing inflow from diverse healthcare data sources and ensuring data quality for optimal analysis.
Creating technical specifications to transform data into a cohesive data model.
Publishing validated datasets for use across the enterprise.
Delivering reports and presentations, along with technical explanations, to epidemiologists, analysts, and programmers.
Communicating efficiently with data vendors to uphold data quality standards.
Maintaining quality standards and assessing new methodologies for data handling.
Conducting SQL queries, data transformations, and quality control measures.
Using SAS, Python, and other programming tools to enhance analytical workflows.
Working with real-world healthcare datasets including Optum, PharMetrics, and Flatiron data.
Assisting in converting data to the OMOP model for consistency and compatibility.
Leveraging AI tools like Databricks Genie and MS Copilot to streamline data processes.
Collaborating both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience with SAS statistical programming.
5 years of experience in Python programming.
Proficiency in SQL querying and data transformation practices.
Experience with real-world healthcare data from sources such as Optum, PharMetrics, or registry databases.
Familiarity with OMOP specifications and conversions.
Strong experience communicating with data vendors to ensure data integrity.
Proficient in utilizing AI tools like Databricks Genie and MS Copilot.
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
A self-starter with exceptional time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience with DataBricks, including Spark SQL, Python, or R.
Expertise in data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Power BI.
Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
