The Opportunity
We are excited to invite applications for the role of Senior Actuarial Analyst to help transform our reserving framework at Ally Insurance. In this pivotal position, you will manage projects from conception to completion, leveraging advanced analytics to extract insights and clearly communicate your findings to Management and Senior Leadership. This role offers significant visibility to Leadership, creating opportunities for advancement. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and programming skills, specifically in SQL, R, or Python.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and refine a comprehensive reserving framework for our insurance sector, utilizing both traditional actuarial methods and innovative modeling techniques.
Independently lead and execute advanced analytical projects while effectively communicating insights to Management and Senior Leadership.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team and the organization.
Collaborate with various teams in product development, pricing, and reserving functions.
Generate reserve indications, establish reserve ranges, and conduct in-depth analytics.
Encourage personal and professional growth, both for yourself and your actuarial colleagues, in line with Ally's vision and values.
The Skills You Bring
ACAS designation or nearing completion; passed at least 5 Casualty Actuarial Society exams required.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in actuarial or data analysis; background in advanced ratemaking and reserving is a plus.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in programming languages, especially SQL and R.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond swiftly to new demands.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field required.
Must have authorization to work in the US permanently.

Compensation Range:
The compensation for this role will be based on the responsibilities, experience, education, and qualifications of the applicant. We conduct a thorough review of internal pay alongside market conditions before extending any offer.

Expert: 150000
This position is also eligible for participation in our annual incentive compensation program.
