Salary Range: $45,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications.

Program machine parameters and adjust settings for precise material removal.

Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools.

Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.

Maintain accurate production records and quality control documentation.

Select and prepare electrodes and workpieces according to job requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including Wire and/or Sinker EDM.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators for quality inspection.

Ability to select appropriate cutting parameters, electrodes, and tooling based on material and part specifications.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine alarms, process deviations, and perform basic preventative maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CAM software for EDM programming or program modification

Proficiency in advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)

Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine tools

Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
