Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Swiss Lathes, including tooling, fixture, and program offsets.

Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to ensure part conformity.

Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.

Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring proper material handling procedures are followed.

Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms or production issues to minimize downtime.

Recommended Qualifications

Direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).

Ability to perform in-process quality inspections and make necessary machine adjustments or offset changes.

Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for basic program editing and troubleshooting.

Experience with tool changes, offsets, and preventative machine maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency in G-code editing and optimization.

Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).

Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with multiple CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Citizen, Star).
