Key Responsibilities:
Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Discipline Manager.
Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences.
Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training.
Assists in the employee performance review process.
Facilitates coverage of activities when people leave the team.
Encourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes.
Works to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues.
Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements
Supervise/provide the planning function during design and/or construction stages of assigned project/projects.
Liaise with clients to clarify cost related issues and provide timely inputs for preparation of monthly invoices.
Put activities in schedules, assign resources, identify critical paths, and do analysis on how long it will take to accomplish the project.
Implement effective progress measurements and progress reporting for engineering, procurement and construction in accordance with EMS guideline
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
Certification by PMI (PMP) and/or AACE or similar accredited project management institute.
IT Skills:
Must be proficient in Enterprise Primavera (P7, P6.2) Portfolio Management and Primavera Contract Management to advanced level, MS project, and Pertmaster 8 based risk analysis.
Certification in Enterprise primavera Portfolio and Contract Management would be an asset.
Industry Specific Experience:
Must have Vast planning/cost control experience within the oil and gas industry for an offshore/onshore projects.
Must have extensive experience in project planning and scheduling, TIC & services cost management, earned value & risk analysis, cash flows, invoice, performance measurement, and milestones & project auditing.
