Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes for precision part production.

Perform in-process quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.

Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and parameters to maintain part specifications and tolerances.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, tool wear issues, and production deviations.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to verify part conformity.

Load raw material, change worn tools and inserts, and maintain proper coolant levels.

Complete production logs, quality records, and other required documentation accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

3+ years of direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, G-code, and M-code.

Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for quality inspection.

Ability to perform tool offsets, make program adjustments, and troubleshoot machining issues.

Strong understanding of cutting tools, inserts, and their application for various materials.

Bonus Qualifications

Ability to read and edit G-code for program optimization.

Experience performing minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparator, CMM).

Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for Swiss machines.
