Senior Network Administrator

Nair Systems is currently looking Senior Network Administrator our Qatar operations.

Education :

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required.

Experience : 5 to 10 years or more.

• Should have several years of experience in Banking network environment and security roles before advancing to a senior position.

• Strong expertise in networking, routing, and security technologies.

• Hands-on experience in implementing and managing NAC solutions, firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, and Cisco ISE to ensure a secure and efficient IT infrastructure.

This can range from

• NAC and Firewall Exposure are Required, Should be good with Avanti Pulse Secure Or Aruba Clear Pass.

Networking Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

• Certifications like CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ can also be valuable for foundational knowledge.

Security Certifications: Security-focused certifications

• Certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly regarded.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures is essential.

• Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices and firewalls.

• Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and VPN technologies.

• Knowledge of network security best practices, including threat detection and mitigation.

• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.

• Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Leadership and team collaboration skills, as senior roles often involve mentoring junior staff and leading projects.

Industry Knowledge:

• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in network security and technology, as the field is continually evolving.

Cybersecurity Ethics:

• An understanding of ethical hacking and an appreciation for the ethical and legal considerations of cybersecurity.
