Summary
Qualified candidates for this position will have experience with electrical assemblies, soldering, or cable assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts requirements to complete assigned work
Gather and organize necessary parts, tools, and materials prior to assembly
Perform a variety of hand, bench, and basic machine operations to prepare and assemble connectors and related components in accordance with established procedures
Execute basic machining and assembly tasks, including drilling, milling, threading, tapping, soldering, and brazing, following standard practices or specific instructions
Conduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies to identify burrs or other defects; perform minor repairs as needed
Identify and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, and unusual conditions to the supervisor
Assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring proper fit and secure fastening
Verify completed assemblies meet specifications using measuring tools and established quality standards
Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues to ensure compliance with specifications
Support stock handling activities, including identifying, issuing, and organizing materials for departmental use
Maintain equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance and reporting repair needs
Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time
Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
