Remote Controls Engineer (PLC/SOO)

In this role, you will focus on PLC programming, FactoryTalk systems, and sequence-of-operations-driven logic for controls packages supporting new data center designs. Day to day, you will develop and maintain PLC code, write and update sequences of operation and I/O lists, and build or maintain FactoryTalk View SE HMI graphics, with some exposure to Ignition graphics. You will configure alarms, historian points, and system configuration files, and support software functional acceptance testing (sFAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) documentation. This role emphasizes core controls logic and programming depth rather than daily onsite support and also contributes to reusable programming tools, code templates, and centralized controls repositories.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer supporting relevant systems

• Strong PLC programming experience

• Experience writing and maintaining sequences of operation (SOO)

• Hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View SE (or similar HMI/SCADA platforms)

• Familiarity with Ignition HMI graphics

• Experience configuring alarms, historian, and system configuration files

• Experience supporting sFAT and SAT documentation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience developing reusable PLC code or programming templates

• Experience supporting standardized or product-based controls environments

• Data center or large-scale infrastructure controls experience
