Job Title: Construction Materials Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will perform testing and inspection services for various projects, including private, state, county, and ODOT projects.

This role involves conducting on-site testing of materials such as concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, and steel to ensure compliance with project specifications.

The technician will document test results and field activities daily, communicating effectively with owners' representatives, project managers, contractors, and other on-site personnel.

This position requires local travel to job sites and the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities + Conduct quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate, and reinforcing steel.

+ Perform construction administration and inspection services for state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects, as well as municipal utility or infrastructure projects.

+ Inspect construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals.

+ Verify plan quantities and calculations with as-bid plans, prepare and maintain project records and reports, and perform other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer.

+ Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.

+ Prepare and maintain project records and reports and notify the project engineer of status updates or non-conforming work in a timely manner.

Essential Skills + Experience in construction and construction inspection.

+ Familiarity with construction materials testing, including ACI, concrete testing, nuclear density, and soil testing.

+ Possession of ACI and/or Nuclear Gauge certification is strongly preferred.

+ Basic understanding of blueprints and construction drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma required.

+ Construction material testing experience is preferred.

+ Willingness to work a variable schedule depending on weather and workload.

+ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

+ Ability to work overtime, including weekends, when necessary.

Work Environment This position is 100% field-based on various construction sites, including private, ODOT, municipalities, and utility projects.
