Thank you for your interest in being a substitute for the Aberdeen Public School District.

Aberdeen Public Schools is always accepting applications for on-call-as needed substitute teachers, educational assistants, and clerical staff to work at various locations.

Because substitute personnel are working directly with students in an instructional capacity, we require substitutes in our district to be "highly qualified". In order to be considered highly qualified you will need to do one of the following:

Provide a copy of your Teaching Certificate

Provide a copy of a college transcript verifying 48 semester hours of post-high school credit or an Associate's Degree

Provide a copy of a ParaPro assessment If unable to provide one of the above documents, you may take the ParaPro assessment test. The test can be taken remotely on your computer at home or another secure location. Cost of the test is $91.00 and may be found at the following site:

Prior to employment, you will be asked to come to the District Service Center to complete the following:

DCI/FBI Fingerprinting (cost is $43.25)

Form I-9

Form W-4

W-2 Consent Form

Employee Basic Information Form

Emergency Contact Information Form

Direct Deposit Enrollment Form

Photo ID (photo is taken at the District Service Center)
