Machine Operator Shoreline Container Zeeland

Rate: $20.00/hr

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am to 3pm

What You'll Do:

Set up, operate, and adjust machinery to meet daily production goals.

Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary machine adjustments.

Complete daily production schedules on time and cost-effectively.

Perform and document ISO quality checks.

Train and support new team members.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Participate in preventative maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.

Follow all safety and quality programs.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.

Ability to read spec cards and follow standard work instructions.

Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machines.

Ability and willingness to learn new computer software.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

.Experience with equipment such as Small Trimmer, Slotter, or Brause Die Cutter is a plus - but we're willing to train motivated individuals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended number of hours per shift, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.

Must be able to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.

The employee must regularly lift, push or pull and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This is a hands-on manufacturing role. You'll be working around machinery in a fast-paced production setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Safety is a top priority, and proper PPE is always required.

What You'll Need:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 18 months working experience in a factory environment

Must possess proficient communication skills in the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Demonstrated math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and decimal addition and subtraction.

Must possess ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch.

Ability to lift, bend, stand and twist over a long periods of time.

Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills.

Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact essential, as individual has access to high levels of cost, design and company sensitive materials.

Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities.
