The Project Manager is responsible for leading large-scale, multi-workstream Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance programs across complex client environments. This role blends strong program management discipline with deep expertise in MDM technologies, enterprise data design, and organizational change. You will guide clients through their data transformation journey, ensuring that solutions are scalable, strategic, and aligned with long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with MDM platforms, enterprise data architecture concepts, and the ability to provide strategic and delivery oversight across multiple teams and initiatives as follows. **NOTE** This role can be done remotely. Relocation to Ohio is not necessary.
Program Leadership & Governance
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise MDM programs with multiple parallel work streams.
Establish and maintain program governance including communication cadences, RAID logs, dependency maps, change control processes, and stakeholder alignment.
Define and manage multi-phase roadmaps for MDM roll outs, data governance maturity, and enterprise data capabilities.
Ensure program delivery aligns with strategic business outcomes, KPIs, and adoption goals.MDM Solution Oversight
Provide strategic direction for MDM solution design, including data models, hierarchies, match/merge strategies, workflow, data quality rules, metadata structures, and integration patterns.
Collaborate closely with technical architects, data governance leads, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data standards.
Oversee data migration, data quality remediation, and integration activities across the program lifecycle.Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors, business owners, and data governance leadership.
Lead cross-functional alignment around master data ownership, stewardship models, governance processes, and platform adoption.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.Delivery Execution
Oversee planning, resource management, budget, and timelines across multiple project teams.
Drive risk mitigation, issues resolution, and impact assessments across interconnected work streams.
Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and platform best practices.
Monitor program health and proactively adjust plans to maintain momentum and value realization.Team Leadership
Lead and mentor cross-functional delivery teams including architects, data modelers, analysts, engineers, QA testers, and business consultants.
Cultivate a collaborative culture that promotes continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in execution.
Support onboarding and development of team members across onshore and offshore locations.
Requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
7+ years of experience leading enterprise data initiatives, including 3-5+ years dedicated to MDM or data governance programs.
Proven ability to manage programs with multiple interconnected projects and cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of master data domains (such as Customer, Product, Supplier, Location, or Asset).
Experience with leading MDM technologies (e.g., Informatica MDM/360, Reltio, SAP MDG, Profisee, or comparable platforms).
Demonstrated success in executive-level communication, stakeholder alignment, and client advisory roles.
Experience with Agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on understanding of MDM solution components (survivorship rules, SIF/REST integrations, data quality rules, data modeling).
Prior experience in consulting or systems integration environments.
Certifications in program/project management (e.g., PMP, SAFe, PgMP) or relevant MDM platforms.
Experience supporting or establishing data governance councils or stewardship practices.
