Administrative Assistant
Broadstep Behavioral Health is seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to support operations at our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) in Kingstree, South Carolina.
This role serves as the primary front desk contact for the facility, welcoming visitors, supporting admissions, and providing administrative support to the Executive Director and facility leadership team. The Administrative Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the office operates efficiently while creating a professional and welcoming experience for patients, families, staff, and external partners.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director of the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.
Schedule & Location
Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Kingstree, South Carolina
This is an onsite position and is not eligible for remote work

Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Visitor Coordination:
Serve as the primary front desk contact for the facility, greeting visitors, families, vendors, and new admissions in a professional and welcoming manner.
Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and general correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
Maintain visitor logs and ensure adherence to facility security and visitor procedures.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and facility leadership team.
Assist with scheduling meetings, calendar coordination, and preparation of meeting materials.
Coordinate leadership meetings, record action items, and follow up on assigned tasks when needed.
Admissions & Program Support:
Assist with administrative aspects of new patient admissions, including coordinating documentation and communication with internal departments.
Support coordination between clinical, administrative, and operational teams as needed.
Office Operations:
Maintain organized filing systems and ensure records and documentation are properly maintained and easily accessible.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, documentation, and office supplies.
Assist with preparation of reports, forms, and facility documentation.
Communication & Coordination:
Serve as a central point of communication between departments, leadership, and external partners.
Ensure requests and inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
Additional Duties:
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Assist with special projects and administrative initiatives as assigned.
Provide support to other administrative staff as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or a similar professional environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred: Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, or residential treatment settings
