RECEIVING & INVENTORY SPECIALIST

We are seeking a Receiving & Inventory Specialist to support the full lifecycle of incoming materials.. This is a hands-on role- you'll work closely with engineering, operations, and purchasing to make sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. This is a ground-floor opportunity: you won't just maintain a system, you'll help us build one and improve it over time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accept, unbox, and process all incoming shipments including semiconductor wafers, optical components, PCBs, electronic components, mechanical parts, and raw materials/chemicals
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips, confirming correct part numbers, quantities, revisions, and condition
Review and verify accompanying documentation including certificates of conformance (CoCs), material certifications, and data sheets
Identify, flag, and document damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming shipments; coordinate with purchasing and vendors to resolve discrepancies
Transact all receipts in the ERP/inventory management system accurately and in a timely manner
Apply traceability labels and barcodes to serialized or lot-controlled parts per established procedures
Maintain accurate stock records through regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories
Ensure proper handling and storage conditions for sensitive materials (ESD-sensitive components, optics, chemicals, wafers)
Support kitting and material staging for production builds
Maintain disciplined documentation and MES traceability. QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent certificate
1+ years of experience in receiving, inventory, warehouse, or stockroom role
Experience working in a manufacturing, electronics, or technical environment
Proficiency with an ERP or inventory management system
Ability to read and verify purchase orders, packing lists, and material documentation
Comfortable with barcode scanners, label printers, and related warehouse tools
Process disciplined, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and carrying for the majority of a shift PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience handling sensitive or regulated materials such as semiconductor wafers, optical components, ESD-sensitive electronics, or industrial chemicals
Familiarity with inspection documentation including certificates of conformance, lot traceability, or material certs
Experience building or improving inventory systems, SOPs, or storage layouts from scratch (startup or early-stage environment a plus)
Exposure to quality concepts such as nonconforming material control, corrective action, or MRB (material review board) COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Receiving & Inventory Specialist: $26.00 - $38.00/per hour
Title and base salary are determined on a case by case basis commensurate with experience and merit.
In addition to base salary, compensation for this role includes:
