Warehouse Associate – Wire Puller / Wire Cutter

1st Shift Monday–Friday No Weekends

McNaughton-McKay Electric Company is a long-established electrical distributor serving contractors, manufacturers, and industrial customers across the Midwest.

We are hiring a Warehouse Associate focused on wire in Columbus. This role focuses on pulling, measuring, and cutting electrical wire to fill customer orders.

This is a hands-on warehouse job for someone who shows up on time, works steadily, and takes pride in doing the job right.

Schedule

Monday – Friday

1st shift

No weekends

No holidays

Consistent hours with a stable company.

Pay

$18.50 – $23.50 per hour

Pay is based on wire cutting and warehouse experience, reliability, and equipment skills.

What You'll Do

This role supports daily operations in our distribution warehouse.

Your main responsibility will be pulling and cutting wire for customer orders.

Daily work includes:

Pulling wire from reels and spools to fill customer orders

Measuring and cutting wire to exact lengths

Using wire cutting machines and warehouse equipment

Staging completed orders for shipping

Using RF scanners to track inventory and orders

Assisting with receiving and stocking wire inventory

Keeping the wire area organized and safe

Accuracy matters. Many orders require specific wire lengths, so attention to detail is important.

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse job that includes:

Standing and walking most of the shift

Lifting and moving coils or reels of wire

Pulling wire from spools and reels

Bending, reaching, and moving materials

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum 1-year work experience, warehousing experience preferred.

Basic PC skills with MS Office Products preferred.

Operate computer terminal and other computer related equipment relevant to job duties.

High level of initiative, commitment, and devotion to fulfill company mission statement.
