SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and proficient Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of our plant production equipment and electrical systems. This role involves some installation work and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform a diverse range of system maintenance tasks, utilizing knowledge in mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and welding.

Engage in installation, setup, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, instruments, controls, and related equipment.

Exhibit advanced electrical troubleshooting skills and possess a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code.

Install and maintain electrical systems, following sketches, equipment manuals, designs, specifications, and verbal instructions.

Stay current with new developments in the field through ongoing education and training.

Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations.

Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and assist in training when necessary.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Candidates should have an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience that meets these criteria.

MATHEMATICAL and/or COMPUTER SKILLS: Must possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts, including probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Candidates should be competent in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and have knowledge of computer operation and software applications.

REASONING ABILITY: The ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is crucial. Candidates should also be able to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagram forms while handling multiple variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Candidates must be certified to operate a forklift (licensed in accordance with OSHA power industrial truck operator requirements) and trained in the National Electric Code.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical requirements of this position will demand that employees regularly lift and move equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
