Role Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric services in a school-based setting. This full-time role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children. The position is well suited for clinicians who are passionate about supporting student development and collaborating with families and educational teams.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.

Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.

Provide counseling and education to students and families regarding evaluation findings and treatment recommendations.

Establish clear treatment goals and expectations with students, families, and care teams.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reporting for all patient encounters.

Delegate tasks to support personnel in accordance with scope-of-practice guidelines.

Communicate effectively with school staff and external agencies in compliance with state regulations.

Refer students to appropriate medical or allied health specialists (e.g., dentistry, psychology) as needed.

Required Qualifications

Possession of a valid Speech-Language Pathology certificate on or before the first day of employment.

Minimum education requirement:

Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or graduation from a Speech-Language Pathology certificate program.

Current CPR certification.

Completion of TB screening.

Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance, as required for the role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with pediatric populations in a structured school environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Florida.

Prior experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting.

Demonstrated passion for helping students reach developmental and academic milestones.

Work Authorization
