Job Summary The Program Manager (AC Power) is responsible and accountable for the cross-functional management of new product development and sustaining projects.

These projects range in complexity that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures.

The Project Manager coordinates the efforts of engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources.

The Project Manager must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure success of the projects.

This position will be based onsite at our Delaware, OH location.

Responsibilities:Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the agreed upon scopeMonitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical pathProvide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsorsDevelop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and costIdentify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slipIdentify key risks and prepare contingency plansEnsure the projects are following the NPDI, New Product Development & Introduction processAssist project team members as requiredIdentify and lead continuous improvement projects Requirements:Bachelor of Arts in Business, Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or other technical degree; Master of Business Administration is a plus.5+ years' experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a new product development environment (experience with NPDI)Proven ability to lead others to achieve common goals and to accomplish tasksDemonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, project planningExperience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference callAbility to quickly develop cross functional relationships to achieve business objectivesProcess and results oriented with proven ability to accomplish goalsExperience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems is preferredProficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Microsoft Project, & Smartsheet The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
