Machine Operator

Job Description

Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm (M-F)

Training 6:30am - 2:30 pm (M-F) for 1-3 months

This role is primarily responsible for the efficient and quality setup and operation of grinding and thread rolling machines in a safe and orderly manner while maximizing production output using efficient and effective methods.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and perform offsets to centerless grinders and thread roller as needed

Set up operating parameters for centerless grinders and thread rollers

Select equipment, grinding wheels, blades, coolants, filtration systems, rollers

Use Lead checker, Comparator, micrometer and Tri mic

Some computer work

Maintain clean a safe work area

Work with minimal supervision

Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

Math skills

Strong fine motor skills

Good manual dexterity and visual acuity to manipulate micrometers, calipers and other precision hand tools

Basic computer knowledge

High school degree or GED

1+ years machine operation experience

Additional Characteristics:

This position may require standing for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day

Requires the ability to lift 30+ lbs. occasionally, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly
