Job Title: Metro Micro CDL Driver

Overview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for a Metro Micro CDL Driver.

Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

• Operation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulation

• Assists in loading and unloading truck manually, if needed.

• Follow verbal and written instructions

• Varying types of work including: digging, flagging, concrete work

• Ability to operate a loader

• Basic troubleshooting

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Strong work ethic

• Physical Organization and time management

• Flexibility in hours - overtime, overnights and weekend hours may be necessary

• Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools

• CDL A or B required

• Experience with a live bottom trailers a plus

• Able to operate trucks in excess of 80,000lbs safely

• Ability to do minor maintenance and grease trucks

• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted

• Consent to a DMV license evaluation

• Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds

• Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements

• Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present

• Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing and squatting

Other Preferred Qualities:

• Ability to read and understand SDS

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

• High school diploma or GED

• Basic math skills

Salary Range: $18.00 - $44.29/hour (Prevailing Wage)
