Job Summary
TAS Drug prioritizes pharmacist work and life balance - this role includes no night shifts, no major holidays, no Sundays, alternating short Saturdays, job autonomy, and ample support staff.
If you're interested in practicing in a community pharmacy and engaging in pharmacist-led clinical services, we have the opportunity for you! TAS Drug is currently seeking a full time Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead our team at our Vale, NC, location. An ideal candidate would be positive, motivated, reliable, knowledgeable, and patient-oriented.
This position performs everyday pharmacist duties while ensuring a positive experience for patients and providing a supportive environment for employees. This role has the support, flexibility and autonomy to engage and build relationships with patients and the community. This position also creates and executes programs to encourage health and wellness, improve patients' quality of life, and grow the business and revenues meaningfully. This position will support this location's operations, within the TAS Drug system, culture, values, and guiding principles.
Responsibilities
Read and review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, suitability to patient, and potential interactions
Provide information to patients on side effects, dosage, specific storage needs, and interactions with other medications
Maintain excellent patient records and pharmacy files
Conduct regular inventory and maintain proper standards for accepting new inventory and categorizing it appropriately
Place orders for and manage inventory with appropriate wholesale sources
Maintain a clean, safe work environment
Adhere to all Federal and North Carolina State Board of Pharmacy regulations
Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
Must hold an active North Carolina pharmacist license
Active Pharmacist Immunizer status
Patient-centered approach to care
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organization, communication and “people” skills
The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
Applicants must pass a background check and drug screening
