Founded in 2014 at Stanford University, Halo received significant funding in 2024, paving the way for rapid expansion, strategic customer engagement, and the launch of volume manufacturing.

The Opportunity

As we transition from pilot to full-scale production, we seek a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the development and deployment of our production tooling. This role is critical in executing Halo’s strategic roadmap, optimizing program execution, and coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver our first fully integrated production line.

Role and Responsibilities

Program Leadership and PLM Execution:

Define program scope, milestones, budgets, and deliverables aligned with Halo’s strategic and commercial goals.

Lead end-to-end technical programs for PLM development, spanning feasibility, system architecture, prototype, beta design, validation, deployment, and manufacturing release

Own program execution, compressed development schedules are met without compromising quality or reliability.

Own scope, cost, and schedule tradeoffs and report program status regularly

Cross-Functional & Coordination:

Drive cross-functional alignment across R&D, optics/laser engineering, mechanical/electrical design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service, and operations to resolve bottlenecks

Manage vendors and contract manufacturers to deliver on cost, schedule, and performance targets

Define clear deliverables, delegate tasks, and follow up closely to ensure accountability and execution

Stakeholder and Executive Communication:

Interface with stakeholders to align priorities and resolve dependencies.

Provide milestone updates and reviews to the executives

Process Optimization:

Implement structured project management methodologies to improve execution speed, predictability and transparency.

Drive cross-functional process improvements to optimize organizational efficiency.

Leverage project management tools and systems to drive visibility and accountability

Risk Management:

Identify risks early, develop contingency plans, and escalate issues as needed.

Lead issue resolution, workaround, task forces, and root cause analysis (FACA) to mitigate issues.

Manufacturing and Field Readiness:

Ensure smooth transition from R&D to volume production and field deployment.

Drive for tool readiness, documentation, training and production handoff.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field

5+ years of experience in engineering product development

3+ years in technical program/project management within the capital equipment or related industries

Experience leading teams of 5–10+ engineers and external partners

Experience delivering complex hardware systems to production

Preferred Qualifications

Strong leadership and influencing skills, capable of building consensus among diverse stakeholders

Process-oriented with excellent planning skills, capable of setting clear goals and maintaining consistency in approach

Solid technical background, demonstrating a content-driven approach to project management

Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools

Strategic thinker who can lead change and transformation while remaining hands on and focused on outcomes and a collaborative approach.

Expertise operating independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to achieve results and drive profitability

Exceptional communication abilities, with a proven track record of bridging gaps between technical and non-technical teams

Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
