In this pivotal position, you will leverage your strong application design and communication skills to conceptualize and build innovative software architectures that align with our strategic business objectives. You will design and implement end-to-end AI and digital-first solutions, navigating through a dynamic, Agile environment. As a technical leader, you will guide project teams from design through implementation, influencing business leaders to align technology strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Drive innovative solution designs that support The Hartford's reference architectures, focusing on AI and strategic initiatives.
Establish architectural standards for our digital solutions with a visionary, big-picture approach.
Ensure integration with security standards and seamless incorporation of vendor products.
Support the migration of applications to cloud platforms, promoting cost-effective modernization strategies.
Create solutions using SaaS and cloud-native architectures, focusing on asset rationalization.
Ensure designs are suitable for both Mobile and Responsive Web applications.
Engage with agile teams to uphold architecture standards and a product-based approach.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, influencing and shaping the business vision.
Maintain a focus on cost-conscious and efficient architecture principles.
Prioritize speed to market and reduced maintenance costs in platforms and product designs.
We offer a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office in either Columbus, OH, Hartford, CT, or Charlotte, NC three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, or senior engineering roles within a large enterprise.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement end-to-end technical solutions for complex business needs.
Success working in matrixed, cross-functional environments with engineering, security, and operations teams.
Experience with multi-cloud environments and AI technologies.
Strong expertise in application and system design, including microservices and API-based patterns.
Hands-on experience with integration technologies like REST APIs and SaaS integrations.
Solid understanding of data architecture, including data modeling and movement.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native solution design.
Experience with non-functional requirements including performance and security.
Familiarity with single-page applications utilizing frameworks like Angular or React.
Understanding of cloud, hybrid cloud, and container architectures including building cloud-ready applications.
Experience with Micro Frontends and Agile/SAFe development processes.
Excellent communication skills for effectively presenting solutions and influencing stakeholders.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare) is preferred.
Preferred cloud and architecture certifications.
Note: Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Compensation:
The annualized base pay range for this role is $131,600 - $197,400, reflecting the current market analysis. Actual pay may vary based on performance, skills, and other factors. The Hartford offers a comprehensive compensation package including bonuses and long-term incentives.
