Data Engineer / Developer - AI Platforms
We are looking for a Data Engineer / Developer to join our AI Enablement organization. This role is perfect for early- to mid-career engineers eager to build, learn, and contribute to the development of impactful AI and data platforms alongside experienced Data Scientists and Engineers. You will work as part of a collaborative ~20-person team, taking on defined tasks and components related to our AI platforms.
Role Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of specific components within larger AI platforms.
Take ownership of tasks, with opportunities for increased autonomy based on your progress.
Receive guidance, mentorship, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality output.
Success emphasizes code quality, reliability, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Platform Development: Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and services that support AI and analytics.
Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code in line with team standards.
Engage in design discussions and implement solutions that align with established architectures.
AI & Analytics Contributions:
Participate in projects such as:
Synthetic data generation components (e.g., Deep Synthetic Foundry)
Text and document processing pipelines (e.g., OCR, NLP, IDP)
Work with image or multimodal data workflows.
Implement features and enhancements with increasing independence.
Data Engineering Foundations:
Utilize SQL and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
Support data quality checks and performance improvements in data pipelines.
Learn best practices for monitoring and operational support.
Collaboration & Growth:
Partner with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product teams on deliverables.
Engage in sprint planning, code reviews, and team retrospectives.
Expand your knowledge of modern tools and AI-related technologies.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
0-4 years of experience (including internships or academic projects).
Proficiency in Python or another programming language.
Working knowledge of SQL and data fundamentals.
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.
Preferred:
Experience with data pipelines, APIs, or cloud platforms.
Exposure to analytics, machine learning, or AI systems.
Familiarity with NLP or image data is a plus.
Experience in collaborative, agile team environments.

This role features a Hybrid work schedule with in-office expectations in Columbus, OH; Chicago, IL; Hartford, CT; or Charlotte, NC three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Please note that the company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

The listed annualized base pay range reflects market analysis for this role. Actual pay may vary based on performance and qualification criteria. Compensation includes base pay, bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition rewards.
