Multimedia Content Production Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

In this role, you will take charge of the comprehensive production and delivery of various multimedia course content—from videos to SCORM packages to assessments. Your mission will be to ensure everything published is accessible, technically proficient, and meets Pearson's quality standards. You will work collaboratively with editors, authors, production leads, vendors, and platform teams to develop reliable and scalable learning assets that cater to millions of learners.

Key Responsibilities

Multimedia Production (25%)

Manage and enhance workflows that prepare content for multi-platform delivery.

Create scripts and solutions that automate repetitive production processes.

Review and troubleshoot multimedia courseware developed by vendors, including video and audio.

Course Packaging (25%)

Construct, validate, and deliver SCORM packages for extensive video course collections.

Test and resolve issues related to SCORM packages in LMS environments.

Ensure compliance with client and platform requirements, including maintaining versioning and re-zip workflows.

Collaborate with engineering teams on ingestion pipelines and technical delivery requirements.

Platform Builds (20%)

Create and manage course shells, skills, tasks, transcripts, quizzes, and media units in Pearson production systems.

Integrate videos, assessments, and metadata into newly established or migrated course structures.

Work with editors and producers to ensure consistent structure and naming conventions.

Assessment & Workflow Automation (15%)

Generate, integrate, and conduct quality assurance checks for quizzes related to large video collections.

Convert transcripts into unified formats for assessment creation.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and editors to produce high-quality questions aligned with learning objectives.

Technical Operations (15%)

Act as a technical expert on tools, processes, and onboarding for vendors.

Troubleshoot access and system issues impacting production teams.

Maintain organized archives and ensure consistency in metadata and version control across assets.

Qualifications

Experience in multimedia/video production, including knowledge of FFmpeg, Adobe Media Encoder, and encoding formats.

Strong understanding of LMS courseware development and SCORM packaging.

Familiarity with AWS/S3 for file management and large transfers.

Experience with transcript and captioning tools and automated processes.

Working knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Python.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in multimedia and LMS environments.

Compensation and Benefits

Pearson offers competitive compensation influenced by various factors including skill set, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $80,000 - $100,000.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive program, and further benefits information is available upon request.
