The Panther Group is seeking a Process Technician with Select Solder experience to support production operations for a leading advanced electronics manufacturing environment in Austin, TX.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in electronics assembly, soldering processes, and manufacturing equipment operation who are looking to grow their career in a high-technology production setting.

The selected candidate will provide production and process support within a Select Solder manufacturing cell, operating equipment, inspecting assemblies, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve production processes.

This position offers a long-term opportunity with potential for permanent hire.

Key Responsibilities

Operate select soldering machines to build electronic assemblies according to written work instructions and specifications

Perform manual soldering, inspection, and rework of electronic components as required

Support daily production operations within the select solder manufacturing cell

Monitor equipment performance and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting

Inspect assemblies to ensure quality standards and specifications are met

Provide feedback on process performance and collaborate with engineers on continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain accurate documentation and production records

Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures

Support team production goals in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing

Hands-on experience operating Select Solder or Wave Solder equipment

Experience with manual soldering and inspection

Ability to read and follow technical work instructions

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

High School Diploma or GED

U.S. Citizenship required

Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

IPC or J-STD soldering certification

Electronics rework certification

Associate degree in electronics, manufacturing, or related field

Work Environment

Electronics manufacturing environment

Work involves precision soldering, inspection, and equipment operation

Standing for extended periods may be required

Must follow strict quality and safety procedures

Pay up to $28.38 per hour DOE
