SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
The EHS Clerk will assist our EHS (Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator) with day to day clerical duties and overall EHS administration as required.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote the EHS mind-set and culture at the assigned company plant(s).
Assists and participates in activities and projects and continued maintenance EHS programs, policies, and initiatives that will improve EHS awareness and performance.
Assists with maintaining plant OSHA record keeping.
Assists with preparing various reports and maintaining online company reporting system as required.
Assist with performing incident investigations, and other related activities as needed.
Plan and steward Monthly EHS Committee meetings; maintain meeting records
Monitors First Aid Logs and associated reporting and recordkeeping
Participates in Weekly Plant EHS walks as needed.
In general, participates as Plant stakeholder and EHS representative in all Plant programs, projects, and activities.
Assists with invoice payments and other clerical activities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
1-3 years of clerical experience required.
Ability to read, write, communicate and Interpret applicable documents.
Good Microsoft Office Suite of programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
Good communication skills (oral and written).
PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting up to 15 lbs.
Standing up to 4 hours per day as needed. Sitting up to 8 hours per day as needed.
Pushing / Pulling up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to analyze information, identify problems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office work environment
Plant work environment with seasonal fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter)
Exposure to noise and bright lights.
Required to wear company-issued personal protective equipment such as steel toe shoes, glasses.
