Job Description
MRI Technologist - MRI
Schedule:
Shift: M-F 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or Tue-Fri 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (required)
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic and/or MRI Resonance technology program (required)
- ARRT in MRI (required)
- MRI Certification (required)
- CT Certification (preferred)
- 2+ years of MRI Tech experience (preferred)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform all necessary checks of diagnosis, prescription, Epic order, and patient identification as supported by documentation.
- Greet patients and confirm their identifications while explaining procedures to patients and their families.
- Obtain patient history, screen for surgeries and implanted items, explain procedures, gain consent for contrast, and verify GFR as needed.
- Place angiocatheters and inject IV MRI contrast agents as directed by the Radiologist.
- Operate the MRI scanner and associated equipment to produce high-quality images.
- Archive and verify MRI images as needed, and perform quality assurance testing according to section protocols.
Compliance / Notes:
- Compliance with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and other mandated safety procedures or regulations is required.
