Building Maintenance Worker -- Facilities One full-time Building Maintenance Worker to work 8hrs per day, Monday through Friday, on a 261-day calendar.

Responsible for performing highly skilled building maintenance work.

Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License and have a good driving record.

Qualifications: * Any combination of training and experience equivalent to the 12th grade and four years of building trades experience.

Job Duties: * Evaluates and determines site maintenance problems and works to resolve deficiencies * Performs rough and finished carpentry * Repairs and maintains heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems * Repairs plumbing fixtures and installs new plumbing fixtures * Repairs drywall, painting, and tile floors * Repairs and installs electrical equipment * Repairs and performs maintenance on boilers * Repairs roofs * Performs repairs to equipment, buildings, and sites * Performs preventative maintenance on district equipment; i.e.

boilers, heating and ventilating equipment, and electrical equipment * Repairs desks, tables, chairs, bleachers, and office furniture * Organizes and coordinates work activities to ensure completion of projects * Answers emergency calls to schools and other facilities used by Worthington Schools * Maintains appropriate written records for work assignments * Operates a motor vehicle to reach various work sites Job Skills & Abilities: * Thorough knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and equipment in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs and installation, heating and cooling repair, or cement work * Skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the building trades * Ability to make estimates of time and material * Ability to understand and work from drawings, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specifications * Ability to use a computer * Ability to maintain insurability through district fleet policy * Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position * Ability to maneuver heavy weights and climb ladders and to perform heavy physical labor (for example: bend, twist, lift arms above head, etc.) * Ability to follow oral and written instructions * Ability to maintain records and prepare reports * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others * Salary Range $26.17/hr to $33.36/hr* * Medical, Dental, Vison Insurances; Life Insurance; Supplemental Insurances; HSA Account; SERS Retirement; Paid holidays, vacation, personal and sick leave*
