Produce high-quality diagnostic images by expertly operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment in a critical access hospital setting located in a scenic coastal community. Responsibilities
Perform MRI diagnostic procedures according to established protocols and physician instructions
Operate and calibrate magnetic resonance equipment to produce detailed, accurate 3D images of patient tissues
Administer and monitor contrast media safely and adhere to all precautionary standards
Document, verify, and deliver imaging results and measurements to physicians for diagnostic interpretation
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards
Coordinate with patient care teams to disseminate preparation instructions and obtain pertinent patient information
Maintain a safe environment and practice infection control standards in all imaging procedures
Participate in other duties as assigned to support departmental functions
Qualifications & Desired Experience
Certificate or diploma from an MRI school; Associate's degree in Radiology required; Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R) or Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) or certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Venipuncture certification required in CA
State Radiologic Tech license preferred; Fluoroscopy license preferred in CA
Previous experience performing MRI imaging in accordance with protocols and safety standards
