This position will serve as the school administrator and requires some teaching responsibilities. Teaching responsibilities will likely be teaching a literacy block.
Qualifications
Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah Professional Elementary Teaching license and a Utah School Leadership license.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Elementary Teacher (include, but not limited to)
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
This position will primarily have a language arts focus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Principal (include, but not limited to)
Provides instructional leadership to staff including: curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development. Responsible for day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of both students, staff and activities. Ensures a safe, pleasant and effective educational atmosphere, provides discipline as necessary and enforces school and District policy. Manages employees in the school. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Works directly under the Superintendent of Schools and Elementary Supervisor.

Hours
Full-time, 198 days (10-month contract). To begin July 28, 2026.
