A client of Insight Global is looking for a Quality Engineer to work onsite in Nashville, IL.
General Job Duties
• • Coordinates all checking and testing necessary per customer blueprint for sample submission of new programs.
• Verifies and interprets all blueprint specifications.
• Completes and submits all supporting customer-required documents for sample submission (including supplier submission from SQE), coordination and approval (Covisant, GQTS, Schedule A, etc).
Establishes program FMEA's, control plans, test and inspection instructions with production personnel.
• Must be competent in and utilize AIAG "Core Tools"
• Travels to customer facilities to support program, review problems and report findings to appropriate plant personnel. Assists in solving problems related to the program. Serve as primary Nascote contact for assembly plant customers and liaisons.
• Investigate warranty concerns and issues and coordinate responses to customer and corrective actions as required.
Updates and reviews customer requirements with the Quality Technicians.
Gage design review, approval and implementation. Prepare gage quote package and review received quotes. Monitor gage construction and approve completed gages.
Compensation: $80-90k + bonus structure

Required Skills & Experience
Educational Requirements
• B.S. degree (required)
• In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the required education, but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job may be considered.
Required - Advanced SPC, DOE, inspection and testing; project management. Three years experience preferred.
Required - 1 Year customer and/or supplier interface; launch team experience, including PPAP preparation.
• Preferred - GD&T and layout background involving large plastic panels.
• Preferred - team leadership experience.
• Must have excellent problem solving and math skills, including 8D methodology, advanced SPC and DOE.
• Must have good computer skills, including use of spreadsheets and databases.
• Must work well with others. Must have good communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and have a high tolerance for stressful situations.
• Must have the ability to read automotive blueprints and engineering specifications.
