Job Title: Automation Engineering TechnicianJob Description Join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Columbus, Ohio, as an Automation Engineering Technician.
In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and reliability of instruments, process control systems, and equipment.
Your expertise will contribute to adherence to regulatory requirements and improvement of equipment and processes across the facility.
Responsibilities + Perform calibrations of inspection, measurement, and test equipment according to detailed calibration work instructions.
+ Record results in Computerized Maintenance Management or Calibration Data Management System.
+ Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective actions such as adjustments, component replacements, and correction factors.
+ Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure reliable performance by adjusting, repairing, and replacing components including sensors, cables, connectors, and control boards.
+ Monitor PLC or HMI program logic during certifications or troubleshooting to understand deviations from proper operation.
+ Use and maintain primary, secondary, and/or working calibration standards.
+ Complete work order documentation accurately and comprehensively.
+ Identify waste, workflow interrupters, and other opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and assist with implementation.
+ Seek opportunities to learn new skills and actively participate in development to enhance team performance.
+ Work efficiently to increase the quantity of activities completed.
+ Ensure effective communication of work to system operators and key partners.
Essential Skills + Troubleshooting expertise in electrical systems.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, specifically Allen Bradley systems.
+ Experience with calibrations of pressure transmitters, airflow measurement, temperature pressure, and speed/process parameters.
+ A minimum of 2 years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering.
+ Familiarity with calibration and maintenance management systems.
+ Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards for workplaces.
Work Environment Work in a clean, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility featuring a mix of office space, labs, and manufacturing areas.
Enjoy flexibility around working hours, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
Shift options include second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 30-minute flexibility for start and end times, and core days of Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
