Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential properties, ensuring exceptional resident satisfaction and operational excellence. In this role, you will coordinate leasing activities, manage property maintenance, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and foster positive relationships with tenants and vendors. Your energetic approach will drive occupancy rates, uphold property standards, and contribute to the overall success of our property portfolio. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and possesses a strong understanding of property management systems and legal requirements.

Duties

Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing vacancies, conducting tours, and processing applications using platforms like AppFolio.

Oversee rent collection, lease renewals, and enforce lease agreements in compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.

Coordinate property maintenance and repairs through facilities management teams or CMMS systems to ensure properties remain in excellent condition.

Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and record-keeping for legal documents, contracts, and tenant files while ensuring confidentiality.

Handle tenant relations by addressing inquiries promptly via phone or in person, resolving conflicts professionally, and upselling available amenities or services to enhance resident satisfaction.

Administer legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, including eviction procedures and lease enforcement.

Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and property upkeep requirements.

Collaborate with vendors for property repairs, landscaping, and facilities management to optimize operational efficiency.

Prepare reports on occupancy rates, maintenance issues, and financial performance for management review.

Skills

Strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing policies.

Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property management software for leasing and accounting functions.

Legal administrative experience related to landlord-tenant law and fair housing regulations.

Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities.

Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements, contracts, and vendor negotiations.

Experience in property leasing, sales techniques, and upselling amenities or services.

Familiarity with data entry, filing systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and general office procedures.

Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.
