The Assistant Intern position is an unpaid, education-based internship designed for individuals who are serious about becoming a successful, behind-the-chair stylist. This role exists to provide hands-on salon experience, structured education, and direct mentorship in a real working salon environment.

What You Will Learn

Through hands-on experience and ongoing education, Assistant Interns will gain exposure to:

Professional shampooing, blowouts, and guest care

Proper setup and breakdown for color and chemical services

Product knowledge and retail fundamentals

Sanitation, safety, and salon systems

Time management and workflow behind the chair

Guest communication and professionalism

Salon culture, expectations, and performance standards

The foundations of building a high-income stylist career

Responsibilities

Support stylists during services

Prepare and maintain stations and tools

Assist with guest flow and salon operations

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the salon

Participate in required education and training sessions

Observe and learn advanced techniques and consultations

Show up prepared, professional, and ready to grow
