Job Description
Summary
Responsible for the development and delivery of training programs for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Educates healthcare staff, including clinicians and administrative personnel, on the effective use of EMR software to ensure accurate documentation, data entry, and compliance with regulatory standards. Creates training materials, conducts hands-on training sessions, provides ongoing support, and assesses training effectiveness. Enhances user proficiency, improves patient care through effective EMR utilization, and facilitates the successful adoption of technology within the organization.
Job Duties
Design and deliver onboarding education for new hires.
Assess and document lessons learned, recommending improvements to enhance the effectiveness of educational programs.
Develop and refine EMR education resources, including tip sheets, videos, and presentations.
Maintain and support the EMR training environment to ensure functionality and accuracy.
Analyze user workflows and evaluate the feasibility of educational components within large project requests.
Manage Curriculum Review Boards (CRB) for application-related content and updates.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
3 years related work experience
Fluent in MS Office Suite, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Solid Communication Skills
Serve as liaison with vendor to ensure proper delivery and service levels for training of application end-users
EPIC Certification - Epic Systems Upon Hire
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree related field or Healthcare experience
5 years as an instructional designer, credential trainer or educator
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
