Job Description:
As a Senior Manager specializing in Partnerships at Crowe, you will be essential in advising clients on the complexities of partnership taxation and transactions. You will lead a talented team within Washington National Tax that focuses on partnership taxation for private partnerships, private equity funds, hedge funds, and publicly traded partnerships. Your role will combine tax expertise and business acumen to drive innovation and support our firm's growth through marketing and business development. You will also spearhead internal process improvements while mentoring your team.
Job Responsibilities:
Tax Specialization & Consulting
Develop and maintain technical knowledge of partnership taxation, including key sections such as 704(b), 704(c), 707, 734(b), 743(b), 751, and 752.
Advise clients on partnership structures and model tax implications for M&A transactions.
Utilize digitization and data visualization tools to process varied partnership computations effectively.
Apply industry-specific knowledge to provide practical, innovative tax solutions.
Research & Thought Leadership
Identify complex tax issues and lead rigorous tax research initiatives.
Guide team members in effectively framing tax questions and conducting research.
Contribute to internal training and external continuing professional education (CPE) sessions on partnership taxation.
Strategy & Innovation
Develop forward-thinking tax strategies that minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
Collaborate across functions to enhance systems and ignite process improvements using digitization.
Leverage data analytics and automation tools to boost engagement efficiency and provide valuable insights.
Continuously refine team workflows through experimentation and adoption of new tools.
Business Development
Engage actively in client discussions and strategic planning efforts.
Support proposal development and client relationship management to expand service offerings.
Lead marketing and thought leadership initiatives to enhance Crowe's market presence.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Guide efforts to utilize standardized engagement tools and coach teams in partnership expertise.
Direct and manage associates and managers on multiple engagements.
Thoroughly review work products and provide constructive feedback.
Serve as a mentor and career advisor to team members.
Ensure effective workload management and deadline adherence.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment focused on innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Taxation or Accountancy preferred.
CPA, JD, or EA designation required.
At least 8 years of tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting, focusing on partnership taxation.
Specialized experience with private equity, hedge funds, or publicly traded partnerships is preferred.
Familiarity with data visualization and tax compliance software is an asset.
Prior supervisory experience is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax research tools.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong leadership abilities with an aptitude for managing client relationships.
Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.
Proven analytical and decision-making skills.

The compensation range for this role considers various factors, including skill sets and experience. The estimated range is $133,000.00 - $333,500.00 per year.
