Your Role
Design and implement innovative cloud-native services to facilitate efficient provisioning and management of distributed infrastructure systems.
Create dynamic serverless orchestration workflows using AWS technologies such as Lambda and Step Functions.
Automate critical processes for provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and system teardown workflows.
Develop dependable and fault-tolerant provisioning pipelines.
Construct REST services and APIs to streamline platform orchestration workflows.
Collaborate closely with platform, networking, and orchestration teams to ensure secure and scalable cloud deployments.
Provide support for operational readiness, including troubleshooting provisioning and lifecycle challenges.
Your Team
As a Lead Cloud Systems Engineer within the Platform Services team in the Vantage Core Platform Software organization, you will be instrumental in developing scalable cloud platform services for provisioning, lifecycle management, and runtime operations of Teradata's computing infrastructure in public cloud environments. Your contributions will be pivotal in:
Automating cloud-native provisioning and lifecycle processes for distributed compute environments.
Creating platform services to enhance orchestration, scaling, and configuration management efficiency.
Implementing serverless automation frameworks for streamlined infrastructure workflows.
Ensuring reliable and secure connectivity for cloud-deployed compute systems.
We seek a driven and skilled Lead Cloud Systems Engineer to help define the future of provisioning and orchestration systems for Teradata Compute in enterprise cloud settings. This position focuses on designing and implementing automated services that support rapid provisioning, effective lifecycle management, and resilient operation of ephemeral computing resources.
What You Bring to the Table
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, paired with 10+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience.
Proficiency in programming and software development.
Expertise in building Jenkins pipelines, GitHub Actions, and similar CI/CD tools.
Strong background in developing AWS serverless applications utilizing Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
Experience in automating cloud infrastructure with AWS SDKs, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, or cloud APIs.
Outstanding troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced agile/Scrum development environment.

Salary: 132900.00 - 166100.00 - 199300.00 Annually
Your initial pay will be based on geographic location, internal equity, job-related expertise, and experience. Non-sales roles are eligible for annual incentives tied to company performance.
