Designer Collection Development & Production

Location: Bapu Nagar, Jaipur (Full-time, On-site) Role Overview Mænaam is seeking a Designer who will take ownership of both collection development and production coordination.

This role requires a strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and handwork, along with the ability to work closely with karigars, master tailors, and production teams to ensure collections are executed to a high standard and delivered on schedule.

This position is suited for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced, growing brand environment.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop seasonal collections aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards Translate design concepts into production-ready garments through clear sketches and specifications Work closely with master tailors, karigars, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs Manage the sampling process from concept to final sample approval Coordinate fabric, trim, and material sourcing required for sampling and production Monitor production timelines to ensure collections are completed and launched on schedule Maintain quality control across samples and production pieces Track development progress and proactively address production or sampling delays Assist with preparation for exhibitions, launches, and special collections when required Travel when necessary for exhibitions, sourcing, or production coordination Requirements 3–5 years of experience in fashion design or collection development, preferably with a premium or luxury brand Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, embroidery, and handwork techniques Experience working directly with karigars, master tailors, and production units Ability to manage multiple stages of garment development and production timelines Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Willingness to travel when required for exhibitions or sourcing Ideal Candidate Has experience working with high-quality or luxury fashion brands Demonstrates strong design sensibility with practical production knowledge Takes ownership of responsibilities and ensures work moves forward without constant supervision Is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a startup environment
