As an Entertainment Systems Automation Expert, you will be responsible for the operation and management of stage automation systems at the iconic Walt Disney Theater. This role involves ensuring the flawless movement of scenic elements during our stunning Broadway-style shows and maintaining ship-wide automation and rigging systems for various onboard events.

You will report to the Senior Technician WDT, collaborating with a team dedicated to delivering exceptional entertainment experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the Entertainment Automation Systems at the Walt Disney Theater, guaranteeing seamless operations for scenic elements during performances.

Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of rigging equipment for outdoor events and shows.

Train for diverse outdoor rigging positions, prioritizing safety and proper operations throughout productions.

Actively contribute to the WDT Theater Team in processes such as load in/out, cast changeovers, new show installations, equipment testing, vendor support, movie premieres, and company events.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of five years of experience in show production in a similar role.

Hands-on experience with computerized automation control systems.

Strong familiarity with theatrical and entertainment rigging operations.

Proficiency in hydraulics, electronics, electric motors, motor drives, controls, and both manual and automated rigging devices.

Ability to work at heights and handle heavy equipment safely.

You must:

Possess a genuine interest in a career at sea and be willing to live and work aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.

Be prepared to follow safety protocols and emergency responsibilities as outlined in the ship Assembly Plan.

Adhere to general safety management requirements within your areas of control.

If necessary, be willing to share a confined cabin with fellow crew members and embrace a multicultural work environment governed by strict regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

Possess a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (documents provided for obtaining these).

Complete a pre-employment medical assessment.

Obtain a criminal background check.

Bring approved work shoes onboard.

Note: Disney Cruise Line maintains a drug-free workplace. New hires must complete drug and alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass may result in immediate termination.
