Truss Craft of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is seeking six (6) temporary, full-time truss and wall-panel assemblers to work at 4101 N 4th Ave., 4401 N 2nd Ave., and 4301 N 2nd Ave., all in Minnehaha County. Employment is expected from April 1, 2026, through December 15, 2026.

Truss assemblers work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, assembling wooden trusses and wall panels used in residential and commercial construction. Duties include positioning pre-cut lumber into jigs; securing joints with air hammers, nail guns, and staple guns; rolling or pressing connected pieces to ensure proper fit; stacking completed sections; maintaining a clean, safe work area; and assisting with loading finished trusses for transport. Work may also involve measuring, cutting, and lifting at least 50 pounds of wood components. The position requires standing for extended periods, using repetitive motion, working in varying temperatures, and following written or verbal instructions. At least three months of prior experience assembling trusses, framing, or similar wood structures is required.

The normal work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with Saturday work as needed. Overtime may be offered but is not guaranteed. The wage rate is $19.94 per hour, with an overtime rate of $39.88 per hour for all hours worked over 40 a week. Wages are paid bi- weekly by check, and all lawful deductions will be made. The employer uses a single workweek for payroll purposes.

Inbound transportation, subsistence, and visa-related fees will be reimbursed in the first workweek to ensure full compliance with federal wage requirements. Upon completion or early termination of the contract, the employer will pay outbound transportation and subsistence back to the worker’s home or place of recruitment. Travel subsistence during the trip will be reimbursed at $16.28 per day without receipts or up to $68.00 per day with receipts.

All tools, supplies, and equipment required for the job will be provided at no cost. The employer will assist workers in locating suitable local housing through rental agencies and ensure that any housing arranged or referred to meets applicable safety and health standards. The employer will not charge any fee for this assistance or deduct housing costs from pay unless authorized by law. Daily transportation between the workers’ lodging and the job sites will be provided at no cost.
