Our mosquito control program helps municipalities, businesses, and residential communities reduce mosquito populations and improve outdoor quality of life through targeted monitoring and treatment programs.
Position Overview
All Habitat Services is seeking motivated Mosquito Control Technicians to join our seasonal mosquito management team. This role combines field surveillance with biological and chemical mosquito treatments to help control mosquito populations and reduce breeding habitats.
Technicians work under the direction of a certified supervisor and perform treatments using backpack equipment and motorized scooters while collecting data and inspecting properties for mosquito activity and breeding sites.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, environmental field operation, and hands-on problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect private and public properties for adult mosquitoes, larvae, and potential breeding habitats
Perform mosquito control treatments including adulticides, larvicides, and habitat management
Conduct larval treatments in municipal catch basins using motorized scooters
Accurately record surveillance and treatment data using iPad-based reporting software
Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients during inspections or treatments
Safely operate all equipment and follow proper safety protocols, including required PPE
Mix pesticides and diluents accurately following company and regulatory guidelines
Fill and maintain sprayers and application equipment
Maintain vehicles, wash trucks, and clean equipment to ensure a professional public presence
General Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and ability to remain insurable
Strong basic math skills and understanding of ratios
Effective communication, problem solving, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to walk for extended periods while carrying up to 50 lbs of equipment
Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
Demonstrate maturity, flexibility, self-confidence, and strong work ethic
Flexibility to work extended hours during peak season

Licensing & Certifications
Required at Hire
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Must Obtain After Hire (company will assist)
Connecticut Commercial Pesticide Junior Operator Certificate
OSHA 10-Hour Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating scooters or motorcycles
Motorcycle license (not required but considered a strong advantage)
Prior pest control, environmental field work, or outdoor labor experience
