The Assistant Service Manager Position

The Assistant Service Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the HVAC Service Department by helping coordinate routine maintenance, emergency service calls, and project work. This role works closely with the Service Manager, technicians, and customers to schedule service, prepare quotes, assist with HVAC troubleshooting, and maintain documentation related to service request and completed work.

The Assistant Service Manager collaborates with the HVAC Service Team to coordinate project logistics, purchase equipment and materials, and help ensure projects are completed efficiently and billed promptly. The ideal candidate brings strong HVAC knowledge, troubleshooting and is comfortable with occasional travel within the greater Columbus area to customer facilities or to assist technicians.

Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Assistant Service Manager Position

10+ years of diverse HVAC service and/or plumbing service experience including commercial HVAC, controls, and refrigeration

Knowledge of commercial HVAC maintenance cycles

Experience supporting mission critical facilities or AWS facilities preferred

Team lead experience required, management experience preferred

Experience with ServiceTitan or similar management software preferred
