PLC & Robotics Engineer

Waterloo, NY - 1291 Waterloo Geneva Road

Travel: This role requires approximately 25-30% travel to the other company manufacturing locations to support projects, automation initiatives, and operational improvements.

Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC control systems and industrial automation systems.

Write and maintain software for automation and machine control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Develop and support PLC programs, including ongoing maintenance and system optimization.

Program and support industrial robots to ensure reliable and efficient operation.

Design algorithms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotic hardware and software solutions.

Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions for production processes.

Lead or support the selection and implementation of automation equipment to increase production output and reduce operating costs.

Provide technical support to manufacturing operations including machine troubleshooting and fabrication processes such as cutting, punching, welding, and painting.

Analyze production data and reports to identify opportunities to improve methods, tooling, equipment utilization, productivity, and quality.

Work with vendors to define equipment specifications and support capital equipment purchases that enhance manufacturing capabilities.
